The short version

• Free tools never upload your files. The converter, viewer, repair, image-to-STL, lithophane and cost tools read and write files inside your browser tab. You can verify this in your browser’s network panel.
• AI models: after sign-in and your consent, the photo (or text) is sent through our server to an AI moderation check (OpenRouter) and to our 3D generation provider (fal.ai and the model vendor it runs). MeshShift does not store your photo: it lives only in the memory of that request and is discarded right after it is sent. We never use photos for training and never make them public.
• The generated 3D model is stored privately for 30 days in “My models”, then deleted automatically. You can delete it earlier.
• We don’t sell personal data and don’t run ads.

What we collect

• Account: when you sign in with Google we receive your email address. We store it encrypted, plus a keyed hash to find your account.
• Purchases: handled by Stripe; we keep the pack, amount and status, never card details.
• Usage: Google Analytics 4 with page paths and coarse events such as “converted STL to 3MF” or “exported a model”. We never send file names, file contents, photos or prompts to analytics.
• Security: a session cookie and short-lived rate-limit counters.

Processors

Vercel (hosting), Supabase (database and private model storage), Stripe (payments), Google (sign-in, analytics), OpenRouter (photo moderation) and fal.ai (3D generation). Providers apply their own retention policies to requests they receive.

Children

MeshShift is not directed to children under 13. Don’t upload photos of children unless you are their parent or guardian; sexual or suggestive content involving minors is refused.

Your choices

Delete any model in “My models”. To delete your account and email address, write to zhanggongqing1314008@gmail.com.
